Savory Pumpkin Pie with Boon Sauce
This isn’t your average pumpkin pie. It’s savory, cheesy, and packed with so much flavor you’ll win Thanksgiving MVP this year. Trust us.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 small pumpkin
4 tbsp butter
1 shallot (large)
1 large egg
1 cup shredded cheddar (mild)
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp Boon Sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 pie shell (9”)
Peel and de-seed the pumpkin and cut into 1 in cubes. Sauté the pumpkin cubes in butter and minced shallots on medium heat until the pumpkin starts to soften and break up. Make sure to keep some texture on the pumpkin! Cool the mixture down and then mix in the rest of the ingredients.
Spread the mixture into the pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Slice and serve a little slice of heaven!
