General Boon Honey Wings
Earlier this year, we were so honored to collab on some *literal* fire wings with Prime Pizza in Los Angeles. They were juicy, crispy, with the perfect level of heat. So naturally, we felt bad for our people who couldn’t score a batch and decided to drop the recipe for you to make at home!
What You’ll Need:
Chicken wings
Canola oil
1/3 cup potato starch
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 cup of honey
4 tbsp Boon Sauce
3 tbsp lime juice
Pinch of salt
Rinse your wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. In a separate bowl, mix together your honey, lime, salt, and Boon Sauce and set aside. Next, fill your best frying pan with 2 in. of canola oil over medium heat.
While the oil is heating up, mix your potato and corn starch together and coat each chicken wing thoroughly. If you have a thermometer, check the oil reaches about 350° before laying the chicken wings inside the pan. Make sure to fry the chicken until they reach a golden color and are cooked all the way through, roughly 8-9 minutes. Place them on paper towel lined plate to cool for about a minute before placing them all in a bowl. Coat with your Boon honey sauce and serve warm. Enjoy!
